Introducing Marilyn Maxwell
On Monday 20th June 2011 our new Workplace Trainer and Assessor/Customer Service Officer, Marilyn Maxwell joined our team. Marilyn has extensive experience in the Finance, HR & Training areas and her levels of responsibility include both Management and Operational Support roles. Marilyn has worked in the finance sector for many years and has been a Workplace Trainer and Assessor for over 15 years. Until joining our team, she was the Financial Controller for a manufacturing company within the building industry whilst be a casual Workplace Trainer & Assessor at a Victorian TAFE. She will continue her role as a casual Workplace Trainer & Assessor as well as being a Business Consultant to small business owners. Marilyn is a welcome asset to our team.

Payroll in July
In early July 2011 MYOB Australia are planning on releasing a new version of the Student Edition Software. We have been told it will include ‘the tax compliance updates for 2011/2012 payroll year, which includes anything the government passes for the 2011/2012 payroll year including things such as the flood levy’. We are planning on adding further information on topics like, paid parental leave, RESC, PAYGI, updated website links, updated information on Modern Awards and more. We do not have an estimated completion date as we are waiting on the arrival of the software. We are going to then take these additional topics into the Assessment Tool and Marking Guide. If you have any other requests or comments we would be happy to hear from you.
We appreciate all constructive feedback from Trainers in relation to our resources. Working together we can ensure we have the most up to date, user friendly resources available.
